Management Experience
I've worked in management for over 10 years in various capacities. This ranges from managing small teams all the way up to leading a department. In 2017, I completed a Graduate Certificate of Management at MGSM. Doing post-graduate studies in Management has been fantastic, not only to refine skills but to have the opportunity to meet incredible people from other industries.
A few management-related accomplishments include (but are not limited to);
Increasing staff engagement from 32% to 61.9% in a year.
Successfully completing an organisational change with a restructure of my department (Change Management).
Work process mapping - for both new and established business practises.
InnovatiVE
I was once asked to describe myself using a single word - and I picked “Innovative". I really love to learn new things, try the lastest technology or gadgets, and interested in ways of working smarter or more efficiently. I'm frequently trying new things, and pushing boundaries. I believe that new technology unlocks new possibilities and efficiencies in the workplace. I've helped introduce, implement and deploy new systems and also review & adapt existing processes.

Hospital, Healthcare, Digital Health Experience
One of my deepest personal drives is to help people. This, along with my interest in health and the human body is why I have gravitated towards health, healthcare, and medical environments. Most of my professional experience lies in the healthcare industry. This spans both the private and public health sector.
Furthermore, I have worked in some very unique digital health roles. Involved usage and development of electronic medical records (InterSystems TrakCare, Cerner PowerChart), telemedicine (teleradiology), health data analysis, and new technology deployment.
When it comes to healthcare related areas, a few areas that he could be considered a subject matter expert in would be:
Digital hospital information systems (EMRs etc).
Business Development.
Patient-centric customer service, patient complaint
Hospital operational workflows, interdependanices, and processes
Social Media engagement.
Corporate and Community Engagement
Over the past 5 years I have been fortunate to pivot my background in healthcare operational management into engagement. I enjoy meeting new people, making connections, and networking. I also enjoy other related elements to this; things like marketing, social media, and other public relations matters. I have managed social media pages, served as host to tour groups / events / and webinars. One skill that I am able to utilise is being able to navigate and understand medical terminology, and digest / translate the lexicon for easier comprehension.
Communicating, sharing, and compiling information
A professional hobby / interest of mine is sharing information and knowledge. Those that have worked alongside me will know that I like to keep detailed notes, compiling and share practical guides, and sharing items of interest in general. I personally love sharing items, interesting news, and have taken to providing “my opinion” on my Ben's LinkedIn posts.
Customer Service
Customer service is the vital business component in a wide array of industries. In every role I have held there has been a customer service aspect. This was first developed in hospitality, but honed in later years having to address different and more complex challenges.
