Photography
I've always enjoyed art and photography. In Feb 2016, on the start of a trip to Japan, I challenged myself to have a real go of learning and enjoying photography. I set out to learn, experiment, and share my photos via a dedicated instagram account.
Here are some of the latest photos I've taken;

I'd really appreciate any comments or feedback you might have.
Surf Life Saving (Volunteer)
I've been involved in volunteer Surf Life Saving in Sydney for over 19 years at Whale Beach SLSC. Over my time at the club I've learnt new skills, been given an opportunity to give back to the community, and help people in need. The skills I learnt (leadership, first aid, first responder situations) have translated into my professional life.
I was the club captain of Whale Beach SLSC for 2 seasons (years) and I'm a proud supporter of Whale Beach SLSC and Surf Life Saving in general.
Cooking
I love cooking. I have grown up cooking with my family, and now enjoy finding and creating delicious dishes. Some of the cuisines I can make are; Mexican, Italian, and Korean. Actually, Korean will feature a bit as I am on a mission to learn more Korean dishes to cook for my wife.

Reviewing Restaurants & Cafes
Lastly, one of my other hobbies is to review and share the fantastic restaurants and cafes I have been to. I really enjoy finding new places to go and visit. I have written food reviews in the past - I used to participate on Yelp, but decided to withdraw from the site to develop and enhance my own review style.
You'll be able to find my reviews on the blog.
Fun trivia fact: when Yelp first launched in Sydney back in 2012, my review was their featured item in the first Sydney Newsletter;
New TECHNOLOGY / The Internet / Social Media
I've previously mentioned that I really enjoy new technology, and this is true in my personal life. I'm always fascinated by new gadgets. I also have wide and varied interests on the internet.
Podcasts
In recent years I've become an avid consumer of Podcasts. I find that it a really great entertainment medium that you can do in the background whilst doing other things. It's a great way to fill in driving / commute time, or time spent cleaning the house or cooking.
My current recommendations for podcasts would be:

Quick Question (with Soren and Dan)
Radio Lab
